![]() ![]() there's a rich and varied cast to draw from, especially if you're planning for some original mechanics. I assume that since you're ripping Brawl models you'll probably throw in Mario/Luigi/Peach later on, but Mona would make for a good Chica stand-in, 9-volt as Balloon Boy. I'm curious, are you planning on adding more enemies? I feel there's a ton of potential here - you can dig into the Wario Land or the Warioware crew, though that'd require some original models. On my very first playthrough, Wario started pinning me down around 4 AM, and all I had to do was leave the door down and relax for the last two hours with plenty of power to spare. Energy consumption feels really slow - I can pull up the door and the cameras and still last for a good four hours. Not sure if that's intentional, but for night 1 the pressure should probably be eased up a bit. Wario seems to linger around your door for a really long time if he gets there. I'd recommend the same for yours just have a pair of legs dangling out from behind that pillar or something. Game Over screen looks nice, but the grim implications of the main game's game overs were what really made them - showing your character's fate. None of the other positions bothered me, but you could always be a bit more creative than them just standing in a corner. Have them peeking out from behind one of the doorways, or shrouded in shadow at the end of the hall - that'd creep the player out. ![]() Some of their positions could use some work - it's more weird than anything that Wario's just crawling down the hallway and Waluigi just stands there. Maybe make the left arrow key the door key to fix that up, or do what the main game does and have the player hover over icons to open the cameras. The controls are a bit unintuitive and clashy - you can either work the door and the camera or the camera and the mouse, never all three at the same time. It'd be pretty neat for a random scare if you had one of the characters peer in through your window from time to time. I love the office design - nice and cozy, and horribly claustrophobic and cramped when they've got you pinned down. If not, he needs it even more than Wario does. Waluigi seems to have even less changes, but I never saw him leave the hallway, so maybe you've planned some odd appearances for him when he goes from room to room. ![]() I know I'd be spooked if you changed his clothing to be more ragged, or added another mouth inside the one he has - he's terrifying enough with just one. I feel you can do a lot more to make Wario creepier than just pulling a couple of his teeth and giving him ghosty eyes. Said Wario image is a bit lacking too - not really impressed with the off-center clothes changing. Not sure if it's intended or not, but there's nothing on the main menu except the title and the Wario image. Pretty well designed so far, though it's a really small demo so I'm sure there'll be much more later on. Last edited by Miles on Sun 12:15 pm, edited 2 times in total. Said sound lost its scare power after nothing happened.Įdit 2: Same thing happened with Waluigi, and then again with Wario. I pulled up the screen and put it back down over and over again and all it did was play that one "yo there's a guy right there" sound. I let Wario stare at me from the door for a long time and he kind of just left after a bit. The 5-6 AM appearance thing shows up a bit too quick you don't get a "oh god did I live" black screen of suspense if you survive with no power leftĮdit: I can't seem to get a jump scare to happen. The battery meter should show empty after you exhaust your power supply instead of how much you were using before it died When derping around hard with the up/down arrow keys, you can cause duplicate camera screens/removals (this is my favorite way to break almost any MMF game) I imagine this'll get much harder as the nights go on. Wow, I managed to survive the first night while being very liberal with my power consumption, even if I did run out the battery just about at the end. I have no words.įeedback is always appreciated :agree: Some pictures: This game has gotten more attention than I ever could imagine - Markiplier himself has played it, along with a TON of other Youtubers, as well as an article on Kotaku! The amount of positive feedback I've gotten is out of this world. Wario, Waluigi and others are the "animatronics" (though they are something completely different in this game). It's made from scratch by me, using edited pictures from our friend Google, and using SSBB's hacking tool Brawlbox to get character models. This is a parody game of Scott Cawthon's sucess - Five Nights at Freddy's. ![]()
